Multiple Intelligences Curriculum
Multiple Intelligences Programme
We design our courses and classrooms based on Montessori’s Education Philosophies and also incorporating JELIC and PMI Multiple Intelligences Programmes, in order to help children’s development at different ages and stages.

JELIC Multiple Intelligences Programme
JELIC is a set of learning tools for children aged 3 to 6 to develop both hemispheres of the brain. It consists of 450 learning boxes, over 3000 multiple intelligences games. Every little step of the JELIC learning program is carefully designed and well integrated into a complete and well-sequenced curriculum of hands-on exercises and thinking, to stimulate and develop children’s full potential at their own pace. This educational set is truly one of a kind.
JELIC has been developed by international experts, including child psychologists, mathematicians, and Montessori educators using the multiple intelligences concept of Howard Gardner, the child psychology theory of Jean Piaget, and the teaching philosophy and method of Maria Montessori.
JELIC unique features
- Hands-training: The hands are the most important learning tool according to Maria Montessori. The uses of hands support the development of intelligence and writing skills.
- Self-motivated learning: Education is developing children’s initiation and confidence in learning. Teachers are seen as navigators. Immediate but minimal guidance from teachers is offered only at the request of students, with teachers observing closely at all times.
- Development of in-depth thinking: Surprises lie in every JELIC box. Children actively ask for knowledge and take the challenges happily. Through JELIC, children learn to think multi-dimensionally and solve problems creatively.
- Development of orderliness and respect: JELIC offers a quiet and orderly learning experience. It helps to develop children’s orderliness, concentration, and self-management.
- Worldwide usage: 20 classrooms in US, 10 in Canada, 100 in China, 200 in Taiwan, 30 in Singapore, 5 in Philippines, and 9 in Hong Kong.
- JELIC can be divided into 6 learning domains: Intelligent Reasoning, Mathematical deduction, Multi-dimensional thinking, Life skills, Linguistics capabilities and Aesthetic creation.
PMI Multiple Intelligences Programme
Like JELIC, the PMI program regards hands as children’s best learning tools. Hands-on approach is much more effective than learning that is based solely on tests or teacher’s verbal instructions.
The PMI (Primary Multiple Intelligence) program is developed by MPM and is a continuation of JELIC (which is for children aged 3 to 6). The PMI consists of 8 levels, 96 learning boxes, and 1000 multiple intelligence games that are suitable for 7 to 11 year-old children. Through manipulating concrete logic-building materials, an abstract thinking mind is nurtured.
Other than being a comprehensive primary school curriculum, the PMI also trains children’s EQ (Emotion Quotient), where children learn to direct their own learning, express their creativity, build up confidence and learn to manage themselves better. In this child-centered program, children will progress according to their interests and ability, and there will be opportunities to interact with others. Like JELIC, the PMI program emphasizes the hands as children’s best learning tool, which is much more effective than learning that is based solely on text or teacher’s verbal instructions. Here, children engage in quiet games where they can monitor their own performance and progress.
The PMI includes the following aspects—
1) Concentration: Through manipulating concrete objects, children can concentrate on their tasks for 1 to 3 hours!
2) Accuracy: The games demand a high level of accuracy, and this training can greatly reduce the chances of making errors in Math and Science at school
3) Proactive Problem-Solving: Develops children’s capacity to deal with challenges in life
4) Systematic Logical Thinking: Children are trained to think logically and flexibly
5) Concrete and Abstract Associations: Abstract math concepts are reframed in concrete ways; this simplification process inspires children to be creative
6) All Round Development: Children are trained to think from different perspectives, exercise judgment, be creative, manage their time well, be focused, be independent, and have a good sense of order
